St. Francis of Assisi Church is a Catholic parish of the Archdiocese of Atlanta located in Union County, GA.  It serves Catholics of  Towns and Union Couties-Blairsville, Young Harris and Hiawassee. A retirement and vacation destination, the parish population increases in the summer months. The sense of community in the parish is strong, as a spiritual home and source of friendship for the many transplanted and retired parishioners. The parish is "Heaven on Earth."
